CLASSICAL MIDDLE EAST TOUR
Although this tour does make a stop in the Holy Land, it mainly centers on Egypt-Cairo and Aswan. The focus is on ancient sites and history (what else?). Here are some excerpts from the descriptions:
Full day tour of the Old City and Bethlehem. Visit the Temple area, the Dome of the Rock and Al Aksa Mosque, the pool of Bethesda, the Antonia Fortress, the Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity.
Leave early driving down the desert highway to Wadi Rum where Lawrence of Arabia assembled the Arab troops and drove the Turks out of Aqaba. Enter Wadi Rum by four-wheel drive vehicle with Bedouin driver. Rather than drive the blacktop to Wadi Rum Village, we cross the desert sand dunes and visit ancient petroglyphs, Lawrence's 'Jail,' and stop for tea at a Bedouin tent. (oh I forgot Sharm El Sheikh!)
(one note: if you need a visa or stamp in your passport to enter Israel, you would not be able to visit Lebanon in the future)
